Recent PagerPal Experience
Discovering the PagerPal at a gunshow last July prompted me to buy my CC gun, a S&W 642, at the same show. In August I discovered the 642 Club here on THR.
I bought the PagerPal with a cell phone holster that fits my LG phone very well and looks quite natural. I wear it from time to time with jeans. It is reasonably comfortable, and in my case does not produce a noticeable bulge. However, I have not figured out how to do anything approximating a rapid draw with it. It is a slow draw, deep concealment holster.
Having looked at ThunderWear on web pages, I think that the PagerPal is probably a more accessible deep concealment holster than Thunderwear. However, that opinion is based solely on photos.
THR also introduced me to Robert Mika's pocket holsters. I now have one of those, also. I consider the Mika my primary CC holster, and the PagerPal as a reasonable alternative for use when my pockets are too shallow.
Please take my observations realizing I have only had this rig 5 months, and cannot CC to work, so only use it on weekends (not every) and evening walks i the neighborhood.
My conclusion - PagerPal is not as terrible as many report, serves a useful function, but is not a good primary carry holster, for a variety of reasons.
I was surprised about the report above of the company folding - there was a PagerPal sales booth at the gun show three weeks ago.
