Wow. Does he have any legal recourse here such as a slander case?

Hate Rhetoric: New York Daily News Labels NRA’s LaPierre ‘Terrorist’

by JOHN NOLTE 4 Dec 2015

Our beloved elite media loves to fabricate a major freak-out over “rhetoric” whenever a Republican says something they don’t approve of (like the truth). But when it comes to actual hate rhetoric and the kind of fear-mongering that could get someone hurt, no one is worse than the elite media. Case in point: Friday, on the front page of the New York Daily News, the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre is attacked in big red letters as a “TERRORIST

In the midst of all this, the media is aggressively working to convince the government to disarm us. The gun control push is now wide-open and 24/7.

Bordering on defamation of character.

It's odd that here, hyperbole like that by average Joe posters is seen as counterproductive and below the belt, but the other side has no qualms about using the main stream media to pitch their agenda in completely irrational ways.

Doh. Lowball articles like that shouldn't be commented at all, but their claims in all their biased-to-the-hilt ridiculousness are the equivalent of calling James L. Madara, the head of American Medical Association, a drug kingpin.

It's not even new news. I see the NRA, its members, or Wayne called, or compared to, terrorist at least once a week. You just have to have the right news app, It's not like they even try to hide it.

It's also why I have no problem with his almost 1 million dollar salary, many many people would love to see him dead. No telling what his security detail costs.

Isn't that the same newspaper that mocked people for praying? It's hard to take them seriously.

Yes it is, TomJ.

As far as Wayne is concerned this one was worse IMO, don't know why people decided to care now. I suspect he doesn't much care at this point, or at least he's used to it. Hopefully he'll capitalize on it now that people notice.

EDIT: only half the picture I was looking for, but u get the idea.

What I find funny is that both NY and Detroit police chiefs have said either go get a gun, or if you have one, carry it. you'll be safer.

It's the NY Daily News. They're notorious.

Look, the Antis are going to use every low blow they can muster up. They're just capitalizing on terrorism to splash another brand of slime on us.

The NY Daily news was considered a pretty low grade newspaper even when I was a resident 50 years ago. Advantages: (A) being a tabloid, it was easier to read on the jam-packed subways; (B) it had good comics and sports sections.

That is all.

It's funny that they'll call the NRA a terrorist organization, even though they've never publicly said anything to incite people to violence, but other groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center, Council on American Islamic Relations, the Black Panthers, the Nation of Islam, etc. have instigated things that lead to violence and not a word gets said.

The NY media, as a whole, is the scum that has floated to the top of America and needs to be burned off.

They're blatant liars. They don't think we're terrorists.
If they did, they wouldn't call us terrorists.....
They'd be too fearful we'd take a gun and blow their brains out --- or an axe and decapitate them.:neener:

The NY daily news has anti gun articles every single day all year long.
It's a BS paper that no one takes seriously.

Speaking to a Muslim advocacy group on Thursday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch urged Muslim parents to contact the Justice Department and the Department of Education if their children are bullied at school.

“Other areas in which we are seeing growing areas of concern…specifically involve our children, and the issues of bullying and the schools,” Lynch said during a question-and-answer session at an event hosted by Muslim Advocates, a civil rights organization.

“We saw [bullying] a lot in the New York area, unfortunately, where there would be a backlash against the Muslim community in general,” added Lynch, a former U.S. attorney based in New York.

To address what she said is a growing problem of bullying of Muslim kids, Lynch urged parents to contact the federal government.

One way street for DoJ. Talk smack about law abiding firearms owners is just fine. Do not say a hurtful word about moslems.

The real question; at this point, why doesn't the NRA have an Anti-Defamation League? And/or why haven't gun owners started up one, themselves?

There is a whole, whole lot of wisdom in this statement. The budding Orwellians distinctly avoid calling actual terrorists, "terrorists" for fear of retribution, and instead hurl the label as an epithet against anyone who disagrees with them but is not unhinged enough to bring force to the issue. Just children shrieking the ugliest word they've learned on the schoolyard; nothing more.

"If that is not liable I don't know what is!! I would hope the NRA takes the paper to the cleaners in a lawsuit for slander."
If they could get the trial in front of a judge anywhere but NYC, I'm sure they would...

I have been thinking lately about the "radicalization' by Isis. Heck there are some left wing radicalization going on in this county some high brow i.e. New Yorker and NYT, The Nation Magazine and Rolling Stone and some low brow Daily KOS, Slate and VOX. Yes there are some
right wing sites but they are not used by the MSM and academia to propagandize. So I am beginning to see how ISIS does it.

A very quoteworthy comment!

I'm thinking this isn't news.

Actually, we should quietly welcome this kind of trash journalism. Every article they print like this makes the bigger papers who copy it look equally low class.

By owning this kind of sleazy character assassination they place it in a category often characterized by headlines like "Elvis Lives!" or "Aliens Abducted Hillary!" Of which I have no doubts in either case.

Then when the POTUS utters nonsense about "only America has mass shootings" IN PARIS it becomes equally tainted. Those with common sense see how paranoid the anti gunners are becoming, and those who won't think about it at all are set up for failure when they parrot the line.

It's becoming a laughingstock because of the degree of hyperbole. In other words, I can't wait to see what stupid ridiculous stuff comes out next week.

We need even MORE of it. It's pushing the whole anti gun agenda right off the table of reasonable concern. Crying wolf all the time and making ridiculous statements is EXACTLY what we need them to do.

Looking forward to even more stupid stuff.
