She bought me my first air rifles; Daisy, Marksman (pistol) and Benjamin (.117 rifle & pistol). At age 12 she purchased me my first real gun, a Garcia Bronco .22 mag single shot, and later my first milsurp, a 'sportsterized' Italian Carcano (long gone). At age 14 she got me my first shotgun, an Ithica Super Singleshot .410 and pistol (not pc these days), a RG 66 (don't laugh IT is the direct decendent of the Heritage Rough Rider) of which I took my first handgun small game.

We all (dad, mom, sister and I) went fishing alot, but she liked to crab. She caught them dad or I would take them off.

She supported my hunting/fishing habit until I could buy my own, but cooled my audor of firearms by introducing me to photography, thinking guns and hunting might be just a faze. She did not know I could do all.

Hattie, nurse, wife of Earl, my mom went to the Lord yesterday, June 2, 2007 at age 78.

So sorry, Friend. You do have some great memories, though.
God speed...

You have my condolences. I know it must be hard loosing a parent. My own parents are very old now (84 and 89) and I dread the day of their passing.
Keep your chin up and God be with you and your family.
