my grandfather owned a large meat processing plant many years ago. i've watched hundreds (maybe thousands) of cows and pigs slaughtered and processed into everything you can imagine for human consumption. never ate balogna, vienna sausage, or potted meat after observing how it is made. for many years i have (and still do) eaten deer, elk, hogs, rabbit, squirrels, ducks, and all manner of fish, and never got sick. it's food that is prepared by others that will get you!
