Have you ever gotten sick/ill from game meat?

my grandfather owned a large meat processing plant many years ago. i've watched hundreds (maybe thousands) of cows and pigs slaughtered and processed into everything you can imagine for human consumption. never ate balogna, vienna sausage, or potted meat after observing how it is made. for many years i have (and still do) eaten deer, elk, hogs, rabbit, squirrels, ducks, and all manner of fish, and never got sick. it's food that is prepared by others that will get you!

I've never gotten sick. And I just had a wild hog tenderloin last night that was still a tad pink in the middle, just the way I like it.

I'd be real careful of under-cooking wild pork.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichinosis Just smoked some sausage I made the other night. Have some left over, but it's well smoked.

I was raised on wild stuff never not once did i get sick from it.

Honestly, i've never gotten sick.... that's one of the perks! Game meat doesn't have any adulterants so it's the best you can eat. Very little fat, too, at least speaking of deer.

A lot of venison jerky and those slimjim lookin things. Real delicious, never had a problem.
