I have gifted about 20 guns and a lot of ammo to my two sons, three grandsons, brother, and daughterinlaw over the past 20+ years.
The last being this Bearcat Ruger to my you gest grandson (age 11) for his birthday last year.
The most excited my sons were over gun gifts were the AR15s they received for Christmas several years ago along with 10 magazines and 500 rounds of ammo each.
But the most sentimental one was the Ruger Blackhawk .357 & rig I gave to my oldest son for his 50th birthday four years ago. I had bought it new in 1968, the year he was born.
it gives me great pleasure to gift these nice firearms to my loved ones and to see them enjoy using them.
Plus it makes more space in my safe for new acquisitions.

I gave away 2,000 rounds of spent 30-30 brass to a coworker who reloads. I don't reload it myself (too lazy) but I still hate to see good brass go to waste.
What is that supposed to mean?Do I spy a Pentagram T-shirt?
Oh, that’s my oldest grandson. I have no idea what his music tastes are, except they are most likely different than mine. (Waylon, Willie, Queen, Beach Boys, Dion & the Belmonts, etc.)@Armybrat, your photo. One of the guys appears to be wearing a Pentagram shirt. I'm guessing he's a fan of the band.
Does taking new shooters out and going through several boxes of ammo at no cost to them count?
Buying a gun for an adult child?
What is that supposed to mean?
Powder supply was so low he didn't have enough to load 12 cartridges? That's scraping bottom of the barrel. My neighbor needed some powder to load 44 mag. I asked him how much. Just enough to load a dozen he said. I told him give me the brass. I loaded them with 10 grains of unique. 240 grain coated cast. He shot that load before. And i remember how he liked it.
