Have you got any particular firearm you love the most?

My Springer V10 ultra compact...first and foremost

and my dads old beat up CA 44 bulldog. thing is a glorified rock but it was his.

also my dads Springer milspec. Well it was a milspec, I sent it to the custom shop and had them turn it into a TRP with a black T finish.

I will die with these guns....the only exception is when I have my son to pass them on to.

My Dad's Remington Model 58 Sportsman 16 ga. My Grandma's S&W Model 10 .38 special. Both will be passed on to my Niece when the time comes.

my savage 99 that i take dear hunting a 300 savage just a plain jane td

that or the Ithaca model 37 that was my highschool grad present.

My Glock 33

She's not the prettiest girl in the neighborhood and hardly anyone pays much attention to her.

She's small, shy, petite and does everything asked of her.......But,

when she talks, everyone listens. ;)

MY Desert eagle, .44 magnum. Lots of fun to shoot. And i just acquired an AR-30 and already have decided ill never get rid of it.

The Luger Dad brought home will never leave the family....

But this Mak hasn't been out of my hand since I bought her a couple of years ago...I don't know, it just fits.

But for pure American heavy metal...a Colt .357

And the hybrid I carried for years is like an old friend...a Smith 36/60 mix.

Hard to choose.

Since I bought all my guns myself,

It would have to be whichever one I am shooting at the time :neener: ...

PS-Seriously, the Glock 23 for pistols, and the Bushmaster M4 in .223/5.56 for rifles(and yes I know that the M4 +.223 ain't really a ,"RIFLE" :neener: )

3 come to mind:

1. Marlin 39. My grandfather's when he was a teen. Given to me when I turned 16.

2. Smith 586. It was the first centerfire gun I purchased with money I earned. It's my badge of manhood.

3. Smith 649. A gift from my father on the last Christmas he was alive. Given to me just after I became a prosecuting attorney, with instructions to keep it close to keep myself safe.

It's still my Colt Mark IV. Full stainless, it was only a half-decent shooter when I bought it new. I added a Wilson Trigger and ejector, extended slide release, Pachmayer sight, Centaur Systems Quadracomp barrel and comp system. Prettied it up also, with custom grips. It's now the most accurate of my handguns. It's also the most fun, and the gun I used to work up loads for the .45 ACP. It will always be my favorite.

I've got 3.

First place, my Browning Sweet 16. My dad gave it to me on my 21st birthday, 38 years ago.

Next, my Beretta 92FS. First pistol I ever bought. Got her '94; preban high cap. Never a FTF or FTE. If my life depended on it, she would be the one I would reach for.

Last and gaining fast, my Romania AK-47. Lucked out and got good wood and a new Russian 6X scope really sets it off.

1. LRB M14SA (standard length, complete build) - absolutely love this rifle. A modern piece of art in wood and steel. As LRB's reputation and business grows I hope they can maintain the same very high standards of customer service and product.

2. Bushmaster XM15E2S A3 Carbine - the rifle that I'm most comfortable with and can use confidently without much effort or hesitation. Almost perfect ergonomically.

3. Swiss K31 - a joy to shoot. A perfect trigger and extremely smooth straight-pull action. I own about 1,000 rounds of surplus GP11 that should take care of my K31 itch for the next few years.

For me, it would be my 2 FALs and my HK USP .45 Compact stainless carry gun.

In fact, those three and a couple of 12 guages are all I'll ever need. There's nothing nostalgic or sentimental about them, they're just perfect for me and my needs.

Wish I had a cool story about them though, would have made my response more interesting.

I love all my guns, but the one I cherish the most is probably my Marlin Model 60 I bought in 1982. The first real gun I ever owned, purchased with the proceeds of mowing lawns all over the neighborhood at the age of 12. Dad said I could get one if I had the money. Well, I earned the $ and he kept his word over momma's protests. I wouldn't trade that gun for anything.

artherd and your Barrett M82A1

:) :) :)

What can I say, those pictures brought a smile to my face.

I am assuming that is not your ccw piece :neener:

If I owned that gun, I would HAVE to have pics like those taken.

They mention that the price for that pea shooter is $7,775.00. Sheesh, what do you pay for ammo? :)

Makes my collection look small.

Winchester Model 69, .22 bolt. My dad's, given to him by my grandfather. The one he learned to shoot with as did I.

My grandfather's M1890 Winchester .22 WRF. I don't shoot it much, but god that thing is built like a vault. Lousy sights, but the fit and sound of racking the action makes you think it was all handmade.

I currently have a customized 'Loaded' Springer Operator as my 'Favorite' but my Colt 1991A1 Govt. is out for a complete makeover. When I get it back, it will most likely be my new 'Favorite'..D:p
