Hawes firearms co

I have a .36 cal navy revolver that the Hawes firearms co sold and was made in Italy does any one have a idea where I can get any info on the gun.

Look for proof marks, date codes (which means it is most likely not a kit gun), and any other marks on the revolver. Photos would be helpful.

Is your gun stamped "Hawes National Corp - Van Nuys"?

The proof date code is usually 2 letters inside of a small box, or Roman numerals located on the side of the frame.
Is the frame steel or brass?

I think this was an "Importer Brand" for Piettas. Check that.
