I have never seen this maker's mark and was curious if anyone recognized it:

I found an active eBay auction listing for a full length Colt .36 navy barrel that is marked "Hawes National Corp - Van Nuys".
Under the barrel is the exact same makers mark and the seller's ad states:

"FBB Proof marking stands for Fusav di Bini & Baronio of Italy. This is an extremely rare proof marking to be found in the USA."
