I had a guy tell me today he used dry graphite for some of his gun lube. I've used graphite for a few things at work where dry lube is necessary because of dust/metal flakes that stick to wet lube, but I've never heard of it as a gun lube. If I remember right it can be mildly corrosive to some metals.
I was just wondering if any of you have ever tried it.
For what it's worth he admitted it has zero rust protection, I'd argue if anything it may cause corrosion.
I can see the thought process behind it, but I think once you put it to a cost/benefit type analysis it's probably a bad idea. I don't see any huge advantage.
