Howard Leight "Impact Sports". Electronic, cheap, fairly low profile for muffs, and available at local sporting goods store. Great for a long day of pistol competition.
I also use Surefire's earpro plugs for rifle/shotgun work where muffs get in the way of my cheek weld.

I've already done a lot of really bad things to my hearing, some through ignorance, some through stupidity and carelessness. I can't change that and I can't change minds that are made up, but I might be able to provide some useful information to help folks who haven't already damaged their hearing like I have and who haven't already made up their minds...

I like the Howard Leight Quiet Bands. And my hearing is also getting bad due to the fact I lived on an Aircraft Carrier for years. Between the smoke pit and my berthing location, I got to hear launches, and slow turns all hours of the day..
