Heller Celebratory Purchases

After a CMP Rimfire Sporter practice match tomorrow (which hopefully will not be rained out), I'll be dropping by a shop to buy at least one Tactcial Solutions X-Ring 10/22-type receiver for another build.

I've been thinking about buying a .41 Magnum,my missing link between .357 and .44. This is cause for celebration.
Any suggestions for the .41 for small deer and wild hog applications?

Any ideas for a Heller AND a birth celebratory purchase? Our second son was born on 6/26/08. I was one happy gunnie yesterday. :D I was thinking of a 9mm 1911 or CZ something. Any recommendations?

I felt that I should pick up something, so, I picked up a CMMG stripped lower and two 30-round AR mags.

I picked up a NIB 7.62x39 Vepr-K for $700 today.

I stopped in a local gun shop and there she was on the rack. Next week I will pick up an ar-15 receiver for an eventual build.

Just like all you gun nuts to go out and buy guns just because of Heller. DAMN, wish had the money to buy someting:evil:

I sent out the check to have an AK built for me:D Now I just have a few months to wait for it, but it should be worth it.

Just got 160 rounds of 7.62x39 and treated all my optics to Butler Creek flip covers. Ended up costing me more than a .22 at Walmart.

I had ordered a set of mojo microclick sights for a mosin. Guess when they got delivered? :)

Getting better groups now, though I have to adjust the targets I print now. I'm going to go back from the bright red on white targets and go for white on black or black on white.

No budget for new guns now, but celebrated by installing the new sights.

I am purchasing a CMMG upper to complete a equally lonely lower that has been sitting around for a couple of months.

My plan is to add a little more popularity to our common rifles.

Alemonkey, if you're interested in a mint condition German WW1 Mauser, let me know...

Well, that's probably out of my price range, consider 24/47's are about $130 these days. But, I'm interested....:)

I was just looking at a new gunshop and found a new in box p-6 80's manufacture date. Still has the copper grease in it. lol

Did my part to help make the popular Cavalry Arms polymer AR lower more common. My Mom needs a lightweight carbine.

I picked it up the evening before Heller was announced.

I've been very pleased with a stripped lower that I got from Lauer Custom Weaponry when theirs were forged by LMT. The upper and LPK from White Oak Armament fit perfectly: no odd holes or misalignments. "One" is a small sample size, but I'm happy.

Also, some recommendations on telescoping stocks for an AR would be appreciated.
I had good results in ordering a RRA tele stock from Legal-transfers / "Pete in NH" over at the Equipment Exchange at ARFCOM. He's an FFL dealer whose web site is HERE.

Tell me what you consider reasonable, and I'll tell you if I agree with your offer. If you want, that is.

I'll get some pictures shortly.

If it helps in deciding what you think is fair, the words “Amberg 1917” are on the gun.

I was going to hold off on any purchases,as I posted on another thread,BUT for celebratory purchases figured going to pick up another AK and the VEPR .308...

And a lot more ammo.

Hadn't Planned on it

Due to the fact that in the last month I've purchased
2 12 guages
2 357 magnums
1 45 XD
15 AK mags
3000 rounds of various ammo

But seeing everyone else do it makes me want to play too.
When I work off midnights sunday I am going to by me a new toy. Preferably an AK-74 if they still have it in stock

I am a little bit of a traditionalist so I ordered this, with a cartrige box
