OEF_VET: Thank you for the invitation! We live a little more than an hour from Nashville in the middle of the sticks. I'd love to come out and shoot with you guys, but it's our anniverary on the 13th...and we're having a birthday party for our oldest daughter.

Here she is last year with the SP-1 she 'appropriated' from her Papa. He'll never get that one back, lol!)

Thank you for the compliment. It's very flattering to still be considered one of the "pretty women". (...especially when you are over 40, don't wear make up or dresses unless your life depends on it, and have six kids!!!) ;) :D


BTW, a friend of mine just saw the photos and said this of the second one of my daughter:

"The caption could read, 'Some teens prefer Homeland defense to drive by shootings'."

I forgot to add one thing to my introduction....

I have a small project going for the men and women who are currently deployed. I call it Mama's Cookie Brigade. My children and I bake cookies and brownies and ship them to service men and women overseas. It's not much, but it is a taste of home.

If anyone is interested in joining...or if you have a name and address of a friend or family member who is deployed...please PM me or reply to this thread.

I wasnt back from the Academy in time to deploy. But I will make the next one.

Is the daughter the Airman 1st Class? If so, where is she stationed.

No, the jacket belongs to my oldest son. He left it here when he shipped out to Aviano. Italy. He is now in Qatar and will be there for another 120 days or so. I have a few photos of him in uniform at this site:

Unfortunately, the quality of the photos isn't very good, as they were taken by his friends on a disposable camera...but he still looks good in blue! :)
