help changing out grips s&w627v comp

a friend just got this beast and i don't know much about revolvers? anyone change out the grips on this 357? some kinda trick to get the wood ones off?

Does the screw go thru both grips left to right -- or is it a single screw that goes up from the bottom of the grip ???
