Help finding Mossberg/maverick barrel

Maybee my google skills aren't that good but for the life of me I can't find a 18.5" or 20" barrel with rifle sights for my maverick 88. I want a non rifled one. Anybody know where they have one for sale?

Also I have been reading all the post on converting the forend to that of a mossberg 500. Can anybody tell me if this is right. If I can take the forend off the magazine tube it means its not rivited on and all I need for the conversion is the bars that conect it to the reciever and a new forend?

I know someone might say just to save the money and buy a 870/500 with this already on it but I like the maverick because I like the crossbolt safety more than the tang on the 500 and the forend release button behind the trigger guard and not infront like on the 870. And that is a short lesson on my shotgun preferences.

Looking at Mossbergs web site, it looks like the 88 and 500 share the same barrel.

If that is true, you'll likely have better luck looking for 500 series barrels.

Yea the 500 and 88 share many parts, the barrel being one. Finish doesnt bother me but the length is what im looking for. The only one havlinsales has is 24" If it was a 20" I would have bought it in a heart beat.
