I got this gun for next to nothing after some idiot blew it up by trying to fire a rifled slug through it. Needless to say it required some work, but it's now in a relatively safe firing condition. However, a screw's broken and not knowing the exact model has become a lingering annoyance. At first I thought it was an 85 or 89 as the internal parts look the same as the schematics, but it has a screw that holds the firing pin. It could be one of the 100-series but I can't find any schematics or detailed information about them. Does anyone know how to identify these specific models?

info about the gun
3" chamber, 30" Barrel, 45.5" OAL
barrel marked: *Electro Steel*Choke Bored*
receiver marked: J Stevens Arms & Tool Co, Chiopee Falls Mass USA
Barrel, receiver, forearm and internal forearm parts all marked BQ233
Black hard rubber buttplate with Stevens banner

I found a post I made in 2006, but the link in it is dead now. That leaves the post itself with the info I copied at the time. Post #4.

"And if you take off the butt stock and see a flat spring operating the hammer, that's the model 100"

"That *ELECTROSTEEL*CHOKE BORED* or simply *CHOKE BORED* was use on single barrels 1902 to 1913. Then the barrels were marked -Patented August 12th, 1913"
