Does anyone know anything about this revolver? It appears to be a Spanish copy of a Smith & Wesson. It was my grandfather's off-duty weapon when he served as police officer from 1925 to 1946.
Not sure at all. I have a few older ALFA revolvers that were from spain. They are also copies of a Smith and Wesson. That particular revolver with the top break throws me though as the two guns I have have Alfa on the grips and have made in spain on them. It might be an early alfa I honestly an not sure but its a starting off point at the least.
I have something every similiar to yours.
Actually mechanically it may be the same with only minor cosmetic differences.
Does yours have any writing on the top of the barrel?
