I recently picked up a batch of loose 7.62x39 ammo, a big green metal GI ammo can completely full of it, got it really cheap. It had a torn off American Eagle ("White Box") ammo label thrown in the can with all the loose ammo, but I have no way of knowing for sure if it indeed is the same ammo as indicated by the torn off ammo box flap, or if that cardboard end flap was just thrown in the can with the loose rounds. I think it is Federal good clean (non-corrosive and re-loadable) ammo, but I just wanted to confirm with you knowledgeable folks. Did Federal make the American Eagle "White Box" stuff? Could one of you smart folks take a look at the pic and tell me what you think? I've got one nice 7.62x39 rifle and do not want to shoot crappy or corrosive ammo in it. Many thanks.

It looks like the label says. It's not corrosive. Shoot it.

I agree on the brass value. Don't toss it! Find a reloader who would be glad to have it.

I am also interested in what rifle you will be shooting it in and how accurate it is. Unfortunately, domestic made x39 ammo isn't known for stellar accuracy.

Myself and a few others here would disagree. Here is cheap Tula FMJ 7.62x39 fired from my CZ 527 carbine at 100 yards.

I can shoot groups like this all day long.
