Hiyas. I carry in Florida. Usually, it's an SP101, .357, 2.25" barrel, inside the waist band, in a synthetic holster with a steel clip attached to a 1.25" sturdy belt. Problem is, I much prefer the one- or two-o'clock position, but if I were to sit, it would be pointing at my DIK. Therefore, I worry. Discuss.

Unless you're preoccupied with playing with it (take your pick which) what are you worrying about? I've never heard about a DA revolver firing itself. I pocket carry, so everytime I sit down, I'm covering whoever is opposite me, but since I'm not playing with it, it's not an issue...

1 or 2 o'clock would be quite uncomfortable when sitting. I'd be more worried about the pinch than the PP.

Have you tried appendix carry? If your belt buckle (or other item of orientation :)) is at 12:00 think if this as 2:45 or so. Just forward of the hip bone. My P345 rides rather comfortably there in a Bianchi Minimalist. Conceals well under a loose shirt too. Don't have to worry about shooting anything off either. Bianchi makes a minimalist holster for the SP101 too. Check it out.

Load one, skip one = hammer down on empty chamber. :D

Hey iffin it's DAO ya gots to do the long squeeze before you gets one off. :what:

Get yer mind outta the gutter. :neener:

You have a few options here:

1) don't worry about it. the SP101 has a transfer bar, so your hammer isnt resting on the firing pin.

2) Get a smartcarry. Then it points OVER your eloquently described parts instead of AT them.

3) Carry somewhere else! Appendix carry is great for many, or you could always use an ankle holster.
