So I have the option to get one of the following...taking price consideration out of the equation...which should I get? I was also told I could switch around the components on the 3 if it suited my needs in getting what I wanted. I'm new to 10/22's so I seek you guys' wise advice

1) 10-22T Factory laminated stock with sling mounts, 20" factory blue hammer forged barrel, blue reciever (some scratches), auto bolt release, lightened trigger, bolt buffer, serial # 112-017xxx

2) 10-22 Black Hogue rubber overmold stock with sling studds, stripped reciever (ready to polish), Butler creek 20" black fluted barrel, lightened trigger, bolt buffer, no auto bolt release, serial # 127-95xxx

3) 10-22 Black Hogue rubber overmold stock with sling studds, factory "stainless" reciever, 18" midway stainless barrel, lightened trigger, bolt buffer, auto bolt release, serial # 251-50xxx

Buy whichever gun spins your fan. The only caveat is that the 10-22T (Target Model) has a very tight chamber that does NOT work with CCI Stingers.

I would probably buy #3 of those you listed.

I'll second #3.

Auto bolt release is a must-have IMO, and if I'm going to get a 10/22 again, I'll want low-maint (stainless).

Depends on your usage. If all you're going to be doing is trying to make smaller groups in the paper, #1 should be the most accurate. If you're going to be plinking/hunting I'll echo #3.

It's really a decision that only you can make.

Didn't you make the same post over at Rimfire central?

Ditch the Butler Creek AND Midway barrels. Get an ER Shaw or a Green mountain if you can find one.

Well, I just bought a 10/22 Target after shooting this model that both my Dad and his friend own. As good as this gun shoots, I don't care if I can't shoot stingers in it. I have a basic 10/22 that I put in the Hogue stock, and did a trigger job on for stingers. I love both of the rifles, so it has to be which one fits the need you have for it.
