My 10/22 build is complete...

...tell me what you guys think!

She started out as a brand new all-weather 10/22 that I picked up on Black Friday at Big 5. I've added the following:

Hogue OM Stock (OD Green)
Green Mountain 20" Stainless Heavy Bull Barrel
VQ Mag Release
VQ Hammer, Hammer Strut & Plunger Springs
VQ Auto Bolt Stop Release
VQ Bolt Buffer
VQ Extractor & Extractor Spring
VQ Hex Takedown Screw
Shooters Ridge 9"-13" Bipod
Simmons 22 Mag 3-9 x 32 AO Scope

Very nice. I have that same scope (in matte black) on my Marlin .22 bolt gun, and I love it.

To complete the image though, you should get a set of Butler Creek flip-up scope covers.

I'm more of a walnut and blued steel kinda guy, but that is one NICE LOOKING rifle! If it shoots as good as it looks, it'll be a real tack driver for you.

Nice build, I hope it shoots as well as it looks for you.
I built my ultimate 10/22 with among other things a Kidd trigger and Fajen stock......and then sold it and bought a Thompson/Center R-55 Benchmark.

thanks guys! i've been getting alot of inquiries on how much i spent on my build...it cost me a little over $500 for everything including the rifle! i've got the factory synthetic stock and stainless barrel & barrel band for sale to recoop what i've spent. now all i've gotta do is get it out to the range and zero her in! i can't wait.... :D

Well it defintiely isn't the ultimate, in either sense of hte word.

People have built out more tricked out 10/22s, and if you think you are done tinkering.... well it's a sickness sir and once you start, you can't stop.

It has a nice altogether look though. Maybe you'll skip the tinkering and just build it a friend.

Beautiful gun. The only thing you may eventually decide to change may be the trigger. I finally broke down and got a Kidd trigger. Magnificent!

yeah, i've seen crazier built ultimates with custom handmade parts and wooden thumbhole stocks and alot more money, but i didn't want to go that route...i wanted to keep it simple. i dunno, the wood look really isn't my thing. the only wood i have on any of my firearms are the nills on my sig 226/220! i guess i'm more into tactical firearms. i may build another one since it didn't take much and can give this one to the wife. but i know i'd spend alot more than i did on this one! i really like the bell and carlson anschutz stock w/ a flutted barrel, so we'll see! :p thanks again guys!

Very nice Tunis!
As others have mentioned, please let us know how it shoots.
I'm about to start on my own build in a few days, I can't wait!
:D

Vey nice!

But...you're not done yet.
You need to have the bolt face reduced and trued to bring the headspace to minimum spec.
This won't make groups smaller, but will make shooting smaller groups more consistent.

Your 10/22 reminds me of how I used to have mine set up.
