I'm going to pick up a CZ but I'm on the fence on which one to get. Which is a better buy between the 75b & the P-09? I don't have a specific reason why to get either or. I keep reading all kinds of positive remarks about the CZ line.
Thanks for the replies in advance.

Id get the p09 it gives a lot of other pistols a run for there money as good the 75b is the p09 takes it to another level the d/a trigger isn't too heavy just nine pounds. the weight of the pistol it self is very manageable its a polymer frame instead of steel and last but not it has a 19+1 magazine capacity.

I like the way the P07 shoots a lot, that trigger is fantastic. I think the P09 works better for me in .40 than in 9mm. I like my 75B more than the P07 or P09, but I could warm up to a P07.

Depends on what your going to do with it. Out of the box the p-09 will have a better trigger but the standard style trigger system of the cz 75b has much more potential than the omega style in the new polymer cz's.

I like the old school style so I would have to say the CZ 75b

Start with the 75B as some others have said. Learn the platform, and different models, and go from there. Do NOT start out with a polymer CZ as they feel different than the classic all steel, or alloy framed pistols.

Nothing wrong with the P-07, or P-09, just not the place to start IMHO.

They come with the omega trigger now, the 07 and 09, which is smoother than the P01 I wanted, so I just held off. I believe there is a P02, I have seen on slickguns,, that has the omega trigger and is the alloy and stainless gun.

Full size 75B. And then all the other CZ's that are mentioned.....

75B, you can get it with the Omega trigger if you want. I have the standard trigger and it works just fine for me.

75 B. Higher capacity is a non-issue as it will take higher capacity mags.

That said I started with a Phantom and went to a 75 BD Police, but that was a matter of opportunity.

What I typically do in this situation is buy every CZ I can get my hands on (not the comically overpriced ones though).

a true love fest going on in here :)

I'll say it. The CZ polymer guns....are probably the ugliest polymer guns out there. Zero refinement in appearance. Cheap cheap cheap looking. I really can't say the function is wrong, but neither is ANY other brand out there in polymer :)

You think even uglier than Glocks? I don't think I agree but still prefer the steel guns.

nyc, I admit my bias in favor of steel framed guns. I had two Pre B 75s, and not having had a CZ75 for several years, recently bought a new CZ75 RETRO model. I much prefer the older CZ75's round trigger guard and spur hammer, so was sold when I saw this version. I don't know about the other CZ models, but the three CZ75s I've owned all displayed 100% reliability with any quality ammo I could stuff into the magazine, along with very good "service pistol" level accuracy. Of the three, my current RETRO model seems a bit more accurate than my old Pre Bs...ymmv

Both are excellent handguns, but the 75 will be the gun you judge all others by if you pick one up. As such, it will save you a lot of money in the future, since everything else will feel like second best at best.

Source: I have both.

Just to throw this in, the P01 will do everything the 75 can and is lighter for carry purposes. I sold my beloved 75bd because it just wasn't carry friendly.

My all time favorite is my SAO 97b. If it were lighter and shorter it would be my EDC. I use it for range and competition though.

Depends on if you like steel or plastic.
Both are great guns.
What are you most comfortable with now (steel or plastic?)

Thank you everyone for their input. I when aheas and ordered the classic 75b.
