I plan to have about 400 bucks to spend on a gun after christmas time.
Help me decide.
I already own:
Ruger Service Six, .357 Magnum
Mosin-nagant 91/30
Mosin-nagant M44
Mossberg Plinkster 702

Any and all ideas considered.

Well, what is the main purpose of the gun going to be? Plinking targets? Self/Home defense? Are you looking for a semi-auto or a revolver?

If you are looking for something for HD that will also be fun I suggest a good ole' Remington 870 of some type or another. This gives you a gun you can add tacticooool goodies for fun while at the same time giving you a very potent weapon that is also very fun to shoot.

If you are just looking for a fun plinker may I humbly suggest a CZ452 .22LR bolt action rifle. They are pretty, extremely accurate, have pride of ownership unlike many .22s especially in this price range and did I mention they shoot. One of the most fun firearms I have ever owned.

For fun

Well, i know that i have about 400 dollars to spend also and i am looking for a gun just to go out and have fun with. Shoot prarie dogs, go to the range. I am looking at a Hi-point carbine .40 for a little under $300. I own a hi-point pistol now and for the price i think it is the best deal on the market. i have heard lots of good things about the Hi-point carbines.

Well you're loaded up on rifles so I'd suggest a pistol.

Maybe a nice 1911 - there are a few brands that can be picked up for under $400 (I always get RIA and RRA mixed up but one of them makes a nice 1911 for about $350- I believe).

A 1911 would go nice with those other rifles you've got (well - the Russkies were our allies in WW2 after all). :D

S&W J-frame .38 snubnose, or a good 12 gauge pump shotgun (like a winchester 1300, mossberg 500, or remington 870).

Everyone needs a 12ga pump!
Winchester 1300
Rem 870
Mossberg
Its all good

Check Big 5 for sales, they often have a Mossberg with two barrels for around $220. ONe is a shorter HD barrel and the other is longer for wing shooting or birds.
