Have been thinking about adding another Ruger SA to the collection. Here is my situation. I currently have a Super Blackhawk 7 1/2" in .44 Mag. I reload for .44 Mag, 45 ACP, 38/357 and 9mm seems to follow me home from work. Ammo is not an issue. I do not currently have a .357 in the battery due to a recent departure so there is void in the safe. After alot of research I have narrowed down to a Blackhawk .357/9mm convertible, .45LC/.45 ACP convertible or the 50th Anniversary in .357. Any of the choices will be either 4 5/8 or 5.5". My dilemma is that I wish to fill the .357 void but the .45 LC is calling to me (it's only another set of dies). The gun will not be used for hunting big game as the Super Blackhawk has that covered in spades. So the gun is mostly for pleasure and range use. With that said, which would give me the most grin factor. What are everyones favorites? I hope I did not make this too confusing, I am just about to flip a coin myself. Thanks Bill

Been thinking about a Ruger SA myself. Was kind of leaning towards the 45/45 convertible, blued with a 4 5/8" bbl as I have several .45 ACP revolvers and pistols already. I don't know that I would ever shoot the .45 Colt cylinder as I have no other firearms in that caliber and I do not currently reload for it either. I just like the looks of the that barrel length and the ability to shoot both calibers does have some merit.

I am in the market for one myself. Since you do not have a .357 I would go with that in the convertable.
