Help. Need a longer barrel for my Maverick 88

I have a 5 shot Maverick 88 with a 18.5" Barrel. I recently got an 870 to take over the defensive role, so I wanted to outfit my maverick with a longer barrel that accepts chokes.

It is my understanding that most mossberg 500 barrels should fit, but There is something to do with how long the magazine tube is. All of the magazine tubes are saying six or eight shots, but mine holds five.

Even though your shotgun only holds 5 in the tube, it's considered 6 shot because of +1 in the chamber (5+1).

Given that information, standard (6 shot) Mossberg 500 barrels will fit on your 88. Cheaper Than Dirt has a decent selection, but they're always out of stock. If you go on Gunbroker though, there's half a million of the standard 28" vent rib barrels going for between $20-$50, so you may want to start there.
