Found what I was looking for. Thanks.

A while ago (I think it was this past summer) I remember reading an article (I think it was from the National Review, and I think I got the link here) that described the foolishness of gun control because it described how easy it could be to make a crude firearm. It then went into more detail, describing that if guns were banned, how limitation would have to be placed upon the sale and ownership of harmless things like steel pipe so that homemade firearms could not be made.

I've searched here, and the National Review, but can't find such an article. Does anyone here remember or know what I'm asking for? and also knows were I can find this article?

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

Just one more plea for assistance --

Does anyone know (or think they know) or remember what I am talking about? or know where I could find the article mentioned above?

Thanks again.

:)

One Idea

Cosine,

I'm not aware of the article you reference, but I have a lot of success searching on Google by typing in keywords that might be in the title of the article or the main body - you'll get a LOT of other hits as well, but you might be able to find it that way.

Good luck,

Michael

(Mods, Mal H, I hope you don't think this is another bump)

Yes! Got it! Thanks MDHunter, I found the National Review article using Google. (after a little work. I didn't think to use Google in the first place. ) I posted this thread here after I just couldn't find it when I was searching National Review's site. :)

Edit: Poor punctuation

The author might be John Lott?
Didnt he write about more guns = less crime?
Please let us know.

Nope, it wasn't John Lott, or his writing "More Guns, Less Crime."

Here is the link to the article I was looking for. (I didn't remember the article as well as I thought I did, but when I read it I reconized it and it fulfilled the pupose I needed it for.) http://www.nationalreview.com/kopel/kopel120501.shtml
