I have a Bushy AR with the A2 stock on it. I got a collapsing stock and would like to change it out.

How does the A2 stock come off. The Bushy manual dosn't tell me. I tried pushing in the retaining pin and screwing off the stock, but no luck.

Is there a speical way to do this?

Remove the top screw in the buttplate, the stock, buttplate and stock spacer will come off. Then you will have the buffer tube that's on the receiver. Remove the spring and buffer, get a wrench that fits the flats on the back of the tube (5/8 or 11/16" I think) and unscrew. Watch your detent and spring for the buffer, as they will launch upward as you screw off the tube! Place your thumb over the detent to retain it. Also, as you pull the stock off, the spring and detent for the rear takedown pin will fall out.
