Hi guys im new to this site. I recently bought barrel thread adapter for my Saiga 7.62x39 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0057PX49C/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details. After i cut the appropriate length of the metal(?) shell around the tip of the barrel i found out that the adapter was slightly too small unless im supposed to force it on with a rubber mallet or something. I was curious if the saiga 7.62 barrels are a lil thicker than other barrels. I plan on returning the adapter though though. I just got http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=27512/Product/AK-47-AMD-MUZZLE-BRAKES as well (the 3rd muzzle brake down). I havent threaded my barrel but holding the brake up near the barrel it seems to small as well. Do you think it would fit after threading it?

You should go to the saiga forum and ask this, they are very helpful over there.I have this same gun but I rented a 14x1 left hand die from 4-dproducts and threaded my barrel. It sounds a lot harder than it really is.
