Help Slide Stop assembly problem kimber custom II

Ok, so i tried for the first time stripping and assembling my kimber. I successfully stripped and im 99% assembling it, but i just cant get the slide stop in? I have the slide slid back to line up the hole, i put the stop through the holes, i just can not for the life of me get the locking piece in? Is there a trick? i saw on youtube people saying its tough at first, use elbow grease, etc etc, i dont think i can physically push any harder..

nevermind, i finally got it. It just took one more push, and then it fits like a glove.

There is a sweet spot you really don't need to push that hard at all.

On my Colt Series 70, I can't get the slide stop in without using a knife with a very fine tip to hold back the plunger.
