Help! What Remington 700 is this??

Im looking to put together a Remington 700 build in 300wm, with an AICS stock when i get back from Iraq in a couple months. i really like the fluted barrel look, but i havent been able to find what im looking for.

i did, however, happen across this image which IS what im looking for, but what model is this, with the fluted barrel?? it almost looks like an HS precision, or a blued sendero II... anyway, if someone who knows more about this stuff than i do could point me in the right direction, iwould really appreciate it.

I'm guessing after market barrels, or factory barrels that have been fluted

so this doesnt exist as a factory barreled action from remington?

I don't know for sure. It could be a factory barrel. But if someome is going to the trouble to put together a very accurate rifle they quite often go with afternarket barrel.

This is most likely not a factory barrel. As for aftermarket barrels I don't think anybody makes a drop-in barrel for the 700. Lilja makes custom barrels like the one in the pic. But a lot of finishing work has to be done by a gunsmith prior to installing.

Remington has been fluting barrels for a little while now.

As the are listing one as being chambered in 300 Savage I would say aftermarket barrels tho the 300 Win Mag could be a Sendero.
