1000 yd targets are pretty easy to see at 100. If it's the holes you need to see, even a cheap spotting scope works fine for that. Why not just move closer?
I use white butcher paperI’m having trouble seeing targets at 100 yards with my old eyes and iron sights.
can anyone suggest a paper target that I can shoot at that distance that will be visible? Thank you.
Larger caliber weapon helps too.If it's the holes you need to see, even a cheap spotting scope works fine for that.
Just depends why you're shooting and what the goal is. If it's purely for fun and not to practice, you can get just as much enjoyment shooting at 50 yards as you do at 100. You can also get just as much enjoyment using a good optic as you can using irons. Or use a bigger, brighter target if you like. There's no single answer to this question.Perhaps it is better to just hang it up and shoot closer.
Getting old is no fun.

No. That's the psychological equivalent of giving up. I say to old age: FY!!!Perhaps it is better to just hang it up and shoot closer.
