I posted in your other thread also.

I use H4895 and H4350 in my 3006. I've settled on 165g Ballistic tips. Don't need exotic bullets for Wisconsin whitetails under 100 yards, nor do I need blazing speed. People have been using 30-30s for decades up here. Shot placement is everything.

I've shot a lot of deer and the 30-06 is my favorite. I would buy the Speer 150 grain boattail or Sierra 150 grain gameking boattail. You don't need to fall for the sales pitch on the so called premium bullets for target practice or deer hunting. As to powder with a 150 grain bullet, you can never go wrong in working up to 57 grains of IMR 4350, 51 grains of IMR 4064 with a magnum primer, or 49 grains of IMR 4895. Velocities are about the same with each of these loads and point of impact is about the same at 200 yards. Each of these powders and loads listed have almost the same point of impact at 200 yards. The IMR 4350 feels to have the strongest recoil but shows the least pressure. The IMR 4895 could give slightly better accuracy in one rifle but the other powders could do better in other rifles.

I have been using IMR4064 - 49 - 50 gr under 165gr Sierra Game Kings or 168gr HPBT. I am still working up this load, but it has been good so far.

Have a look at Ramshot Big Game. You should get factory velocities without running into compress charges.
