I'm fairly certain that I'm about to change to a 642 as my primary CCW method, rather than the G17 that doesn't carry on my 5'8" 135# frame very well. I'm really interested in the Comp-Tac Gurkha or Pro Undercover holsters, but I can't seem to find any good pictures anywhere (yes i've visited the club and part deux). Does anyone have a photo of a 642 in the mentioned holsters (or similar, since i'm open to suggestions). I don't like pocket carry, so it think my ideal carry setup would S&W 642 IWB at the 4 'oclock position using a thin kydex holster.

-Thanks in advance, sorry I'm so picky:neener:

Thanks, I've heard of KyTac, but never looked into any of their stuff. I haven't seen a photo of the BraveHeart with a revolver in it, but I did notice how form-fitted their other revolver models are. Very impressive!

You should look into the Comp-Tac C-Tac holster. I can hide my old snub nose revolver with out effort, very comfortable tuck-able and a fast draw. The C-tac is fully adjustable compared to the Gurhka, which also has added width at the cylinder due to clip placement. Good holsters are hard to find, if you are able to try them on first that is best. I would have to say it makes it easier to find the right one.

The C-tac is listed as being .25" slimmer than the gurkha due to the absence of the belt clip on the holster body. I wouldn't think it makes the whole package feel thicker since the belt clip is outside the belt, or does the clip somehow mold to the kydex body that increases the thickness of the actual holster. I sure wish someone sold these locally.

My short list now indludes the KyTac Braveheart, Gurkha, and C-Tac

When I had ordered my holster originally from Comp-tac they recommended against the Guhrka due to the thickness added by the clip on the body. Here is an image of the holster.
