A few months ago I bought a Century Cetme .308 rifle and then bought a sling to go with it. This rifle is the sporter version which is a plastic buttstock and doesn't have, and cannot attach a swivel for a sling anywhere on the buttstock. I thought about using a swivel with a self-tapping screw but I decided this would crack the stock fairly quickly. I've seen some tactical slings that use a foldover T-type pattern to hold the sling to the buttstock. I've seen these on ads for AR type setups. Since I already have a sling does anybody know of a company that sells just the buttstock portion of the sling. Thanks!

The standard AR stock has a sling swivel, which is what the Giles tactical sling and similar slings attach to.

If you are sure you can not attach your own swivel to the stock you might try wrapping the sling around the receiver end of the stock, using a slider to keep it tight.

Hope that helps.

I have successfully used the wood screw type swivel studs on synthetic stocks (not CETME). Even one hollow one had enough internal "rib" to handle it - I learned by removing the buttplate and looking. You do have to pre-drill the hole, of course.
