I have a Forehand and Wadsworth 32cal. break top (or top break) revolver and need your help. I know the gun is a centerfire. It did not come with grips. The serial number is 27023. It has the "FOREHAND & WADSWORTH, WORCESTER, MASS.USA" along with the 2 patent dates of Dec. 7,1886 and Jan. 11, 1887 on the top of the barrel.

I would like to know exactly which model I have, what piece I am missing that fits into a small hole in the frame and holds the extractor cam to force the extractor up, and what type of ammunition this gun originally used. Would someone please help me in this project?

;Thank you Phil. This is my first time using The High Road. You have made me feel welcome in addition to answering my question.
