I've got a Savage Model 12 pre-accutrigger in .223. It's in good shape, but there's a little blueing wear around the barrel. It's got a 6x24x40 BSA scope and a no-name bipod on it.

Anybody know an approximate value? I've been searching, but I can't find any pre-accutrigger stuff. Does around $400 for the whole shebang sound about right?
Thanks,
RT

that's about right, really. depending on where you were in the U.S. , you could maybe go another 100 bucks. or sell them all seperate. 380 for the rifle, 30 for bipod, 75 for scope.

I was thinking about $350 for the rifle, $50 for the scope, and the bipod thrown in as a bonus to get the $400. I know the rifle is devalued due to the accu-trigger on everything now, but with Federal SMK's I've shot .5" groups and WWB is just over an inch usually. Once in a while a shade under, but usually just over. I need to find a really good shot to find out exactly what it will do. ;)

I'm not a 'rifleman' by any stretch, but would like to be someday, and I've realized that this rifle won't help me become one, this things bench/bipod only. If we had P-dogs around here, I'd be set, but we don't, so it serves no purpose with only 100 yd ranges available. I hate to neglect my rifles.

Anyway, I'm probably going to take it to the range one more time and save some targets and give it a really good cleaning, check everything out and then put it up for sale. It deserves a good home...with a 300 yard range.
