Can anyone recommend someone that does good work repairing wood stocks? To make a long story short, I was deer hunting 3 days ago and had my rifle slung over my shoulder. The sling broke and when the butt of the stock hit the ground, the stock split in several places. Don't know if the walnut had a weak spot in it or not, but at this point that is irrelevant. BTW, the gun is a left handed Model 70 Featherweight in .270 WSM. I LOVE this gun and want it fixed. According the the Winchester online catalog, I can buy a new walnut stock from them for $357. I could not locate anyone who makes a synthetic stock for this particular version, LH being the one that is always missing. Any help would be appreciated.
