We're getting trounced at the moment.

For now, 63% "feel" that we would be less safe if Wisconsin citizens could carry their own property on their own selves. (1768 total votes)

Remember not to click the link (which is made "hot" automatically by the forum software) and instead copy and paste it into your address bar, otherwise they will think thehighroad.org is tampering with their poll when we're just voting.

Wow, good job. Those on the side of reality are now getting close to overtaking the emotional side. Down to 51% paranoid, and up to 40% recognizing that concealed carry prevents crime.

Done.

I got a kick out of this:

Risser, the longest serving legislator in the state, has been around for all previous NRA-supported attempts to pass similar gun-related legislation in Wisconsin.

Those who were in the Senate chamber in 2002 will remember Risser as the senate president who gavelled the senate adjourned for the rest of the year, before a vote could be taken on Senator Zien's motion to bring the CCW bill to the floor for a vote.

Risser was elected to the legislature in 1954, a year before I started kindergarten. He hasn't just been around for "all previous NRA-supported attempts", he's been around since the metallic cartridge was invented.
