Help!

Could use some help or suggestions!
So i just purchases a springfield M1A scout squad rifle! I also purchased a Arms #18 mount to scope my rifle but this is where the problem arrives! I know i have to remove my stripper clip guide by using a 3/32'' punch but am having a lot of troubles! I sure dont want to hit it to hard but cannot get the pin to budge! any suggestions? is it common for these to be this tight? Thanks guys

make sure it dose not have lock tite on it. & Id take it to a gun smith. he has the right Vises for punches & hammers.
