Henry 6.5 Creedmore...really

Its not like they rolled over.

I was saying that tongue-in-cheek... as an M1a purist. :p

i would take a early 99 with the schnabel forend in 303.

I've got a later 99F in that newfangled .308 cartridge, which I initially thought was a odd cartridge for a lever-action... but proof is in the pudding, it shoots lights out and has an action as slick as any levergun I've ever handled. It's a keeper and has bumped the Marlin 336 out of the safe... believe it or not. Granted, the stock fit doesn't make it for everyone...

My son has killed a fair amount of deer with my dad old Win 88 in .308 win.

A lone ranger in 6.5 creed would seem to be a modern version of that. As long as the company doesn't go under I say more choices are great. I was at the range a couple weeks ago next to a guy shooting an M1a in 6.5 creed. Blew my mind. Never even thought of it. My buddy bought a RPR in 6.5 before deer season. Loves it.

Whether you like it or not the 6.5 creed isn't going anywhere.

I don’t think it’s an answer in search of a question, good for Henry. I think it would be a good idea to start putting a 22” barrel on the .243 Long Ranger. 6.5 caliber appeals to me in a bolt action rifle, 7mm in a lever. I bet Henry comes out with a 7mm-08 if the 6.5 Creedmoor Long Ranger does well.

Needs open sights in my opinion. Other than that, I won't be buying one (I'm only interested in a Creedmoor with a 24+ inch tube, but that's just me), but I'm glad to see it on the market.

I like the look of the straight stock. Not a big fan of lever actions in general, but I look forward to handling one. I sure like the Single Shots.

I would love to own a Long Ranger, even though I'm not much for deer hunting of late. Fell in love with an old friends Savage 99 just for the lines it had, and while the Henry's not as sleek, it does have some of them.
