Henry Repeating Arms already had my son & I as lifetime customers just over the quality of the firearms they make.
Apparently that's not enough for them, they still go beyond that.
During a recent move, my son's AR-7 somehow missed being in the safe. So... he removed the bolt as an added safety precaution then promptly misplaced it.
He called Henry to order a replacement.
They told him he must send the rifle to them for repair. So he did.
Three day turnaround! They paid shipping both ways and refused to send an invoice!
As if that wasn't enough, they sent a "thank you " card with an apology for the extended delay! 3 days?
As "someone else" would say... "C'mon man! You know... the thing... was his fault, not Henry's."
Anyway it's good to see customer service like it was back more than half a century ago. Competitors should learn from this.
I'm very tempted to go out & buy another rifle I don't need just to help support such a great company!

I use Henry .22lr lever action rifles almost exclusively for safety / shooting classes with kids.
Mainly because of quality & safety but the fact that "they look cool" too is a huge bonus with the kids.
I've never had one break or fail either. I'm talking about the rifles... not the kids. The kids break pretty easy.
Speaking of safety classes... anyone else notice that it's MUCH easier teaching safety to kids rather than adults who think they know it all?

Henry is outstanding. Anyone who doubts their quality or commitment to customers doesn't know Henry .
I'm a big fan and I'm not easy to impress. Couldn't ask for more.
Good to see American companies building excellent quality for fair prices and standing behind the product too.
Good stuff .

Henry is, without a doubt, the most honorable and friendly gun makers ON PLANET EARTH at this moment.

They are INCREDIBLE people to deal with and their products are excellent. They sent me a 100% free walnut stock when I found a hairline crack in mine and it got to my house in like 2 days.

MADE IN AMERICA OR NOT AT ALL!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS HENRY!!!!!!!!!

my only experience with their customer service was when I lost a screw during a sight adjustment. completely my fault. they sent me one and I received it two days later. they wouldn't let me pay for it. great folks. I own three of their lever actions and will buy more. I have my sights on one in particular.

I complained that the sights and band was plastic on a 22 standard rifle. I was sent metal replacement parts. The front sight was a cheap metal but metal nonetheless.

I have had three Henry 22s. A goldenboy, a standard 22, and the carbine with large loop 22. The goldenboy and another one developed failure to extract issues. I fixed the issue by slightly deepening the extractor cut so the extractor got a better purchase. I probably should have called the company and or tuned the extractor. It's been so long now I can't remember why I went the way I did.

I was told the receiver on the goldenboy was brass. It ain't, it's brass plated. The brass started flaking around the screw holes. I put a fair amount of use on the gun over about 3 years before I sold it.

I'd like the frontier model, but I prefer other more expensive to make guns like the marlin 39. The Henry is a good gun, but I prefer machined steel.

As a customer all I want is a decent product at a fair price.
So far... every Henry rifle I own has been excellent... at very fair prices!
As for the recent customer service... they certainly didn't need to go as far as they did. They had alteady earned our business years ago.

The plastic barrel band was a short run many years ago. I still have one. My first Henry in fact.
It's easily sent thousands of bullets down range without a single failure... with every ammo brand imaginable.
The cover you are speaking of was a proprietary coating that had some fancy name I can't remember. All of the current "brass" models are actually brass. At least mine are.
I have two blued H001s and 5 other variants in brass. The brass receiver with octagon barrel ones are "almost" too pretty to shoot.
As a "reward" for successful completion of my safety classes, I let the kids shoot the "Big Boy" .357 Magnum rifle then get their picture taken with it. May sound silly to some but for the kids, it's a really big deal.
Taking home their targets, empty casings & a completion certificate seems better than a 6' tall trophy for most of them.

The lack of a loading gate always seemed to be a point of contention for a lot of people. It never was a problem for me. Henry must have been listening. I have 4 Henry's + one I gave to my son. My next will hopefully be a Long Ranger. All are great rifles.

I couldn't care less about the loading gate. I have a 94 Winchester and a Rossi that both have gates. Might look cool but a standard tube feed is quicker & easier.
It's easier to unload too.
I also have 7 Henry lever guns! (Mostly for teaching safety classes) The Winchester, Rossi & Ithaca haven't seen daylight in years.
There is no rule that says we all need to like the same thing. That's why different models are available.

I love my Henry rifles even have my name as the serial number on one. I have never had an issue with them. Now if they would just send a couple of the all weather models to central Kentucky so I could spend some money on them instead of some things I need.

The loading gate was never a problem with me. Did not care if it had one. A lot of people wined and cryed about it. We are hunting, not defending the wagon train. How fast do you need to reload. I, have three Henry's. Love them.

Henry has been pretty good to me through the years as well. I can remember being sent a couple rear sights, barrel bands, etc., completely gratis. My last Henry rifle left last week to make room for a CZ 457. Nothing against the Henry at all, just change in tastes. I'd certainly like to own a Henry pump in 22 Mag one day, but they seem to be unobtanium right now, and if you can find one they're over $600. The way that Henry treated me has stuck with me, and I'll own another one or two before I'm done.
