My kids are getting old enough that they want to go shoot with Daddy. My smallest rifle is a single-shot .22 Savage Springfield 120A but it has too long a pull for my kids.

While wandering the gunstores I came across a Henry Mini-Bolt. It's all stainless steel, has truglo fiberoptic style sights, and a flourescent orange stock with "RINGNECKS" and some pheasants on the side.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was put together, and my kids were thrilled to hold it, so it came home with me.

Anybody else got one? It seemed a lot better put together than the Cricket rifle I saw.

What is the "Ringnecks" thing on the stock- some sort of special edition or something?

I purchased my 9 year old Son a Henry bolt action single shot package with the cantilever scope mounted, in stainless steel. At 20 yards it is "one hole accurate" with bulk .22 ammo. It's really a quality package, though expensive. I think it sells for about $350-$400. I purchased it based on a review of most all the .22 single shots available. This rifle was the most accurate of the bunch. It really is a single shot target rifle. He shoots it very, very well.
