SURPRISE! They are doing the same old thing the "protestors" always do; using violence and force and breaking many laws. No wonder the FBI is so heavily involved.

They aren't "protestors"; they are domestic terrorists.

I got this email from Move America Forward, which is a new conservative activist website/organization that is based in CA.

Please be sure to help us spread the word on this story by forwarding
this email to everyone you know…

Anti-War “Anarchists,†the FBI and the Republican Convention
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

A few weeks ago Move America Forward broke the story concerning
allegations that anti-war protestors were working feverishly to
disrupt the Republican National Convention, which will take place
from August 30th to September 2nd in New York City.

This storyline is now being reported nationally, with in depth
coverage by the New York Times, Washington Post and Associated Press
wire service.

You can read more about the report we prepared in conjunction with
Newsmax that broke ground on the anti-war protest plans:

http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org/NewsmaxRNC/

The news media’s interest in this story was heightened after they
learned that the FBI had been pursuing this story on their own and
conducting investigations and interrogations of radical activists.
The FBI aim is to prevent any planned acts of violence or domestic
terrorism by these radical ‘anarchists’ before they can occur.

According to the Associated Press:

“…federal agents in New York have begun interviewing
people they think might know about plots to sow mayhem
at the convention and have used surveillance against
possible suspects.

One anti-war website advises protestors to dress in a ski mask and
a good pair of running shoes to avoid detention by law enforcement
agencies.

Another organization pledges that the protests will explode into a
culture war with â€â€”five days that are “part blackout, part Woodstock,â€
“worse than Miami,†“better than Seattle,†“our Chicago ’68.â€

Another website has published diagrams, maps and photos of rail
tunnels and gas lines leading toward Madison Square Garden showing
areas protestors can exploit and where security surveillance would
be and how to avoid it.

When the FBI asked the website operator to help them identify threats
the individual rejected the idea saying it was "an invitation to be
an informant." Instead he would rather be an “informant†for the
“Blame America First†crowd and help them in their plans to sabotage
a national political convention.

Media Sympathetic to Plans of Violence by Protestors
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

What had first intrigued us to look into this story was that we
found the plans for violent protests and acts of sabotage by
proclaimed “peace†protestors to be the utmost form of hypocrisy.
It revealed the true motives and intent of some in the “Blame
America First†crowd and we found it disgusting.

We have been exposing the plans of some of these most violent and
radical organizations in the hopes of bringing more attention by
law enforcement and government officials towards protest planning
so that violence and mayhem can be averted.

But leave it to the liberal news media to decide that the ‘bad guys’
in this story aren’t those who may be planning violence or sabotage,
but instead the FBI and other law enforcement agencies.

Here is a sampling of the horribly biased news headlines from today
regarding the work by law enforcement and their efforts to prevent
violence at the Republican National Convention:

“FBI 'harassing' protestersâ€

“Feds monitoring anti-GOP activistsâ€

“Harassment claims as FBI quizzes protestersâ€

“Squelching protest/The great American hush-upâ€

The Washington Post today sympathized with Cheri Honkala who, “says
she expects to bring in 5,000 rural and urban folks for a
purposefully illegal march across town to Times Square. "The
police told us there was no way in hell they were going to give
us a permit to march," she said. Honkala, who led a similar march
at the Republican convention in Philadelphia in 2000, shrugged.
"We have to mess it all up. . . . Poor people have been living
with terror every day."

The Post also reported that the National Lawyers Guild is in the
process of distributing, “cards advising activists to say nothing
if the FBI knocks. "It's a chilling reminder of the world we live
in," said Tanya Mayo of Not in Our Name, an antiwar group.â€

The Associated Press ran comments by Donna Lieberman, executive
director of the New York Civil Liberties Union who claimed that,
"political interrogation without suspicion of criminal activity
harkens back to the bad old days of the McCarthy era."

Amazing, isn’t it? Those who oppose the war on terrorism and the
War in Iraq are constantly given the benefit of the doubt by the
left-leaning news media. And the public’s perception as to what
is the “truth†concerning world affairs will certainly be determined
by the “reality†that is manufactured by liberal journalists.

$134,000 Raised So Far for Our Next Ad Blitz
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The news bias evident in this story is a great reminder of why our
national ad campaign – supporting our troops and the war on
terrorism – is vital. We simply have to get our message out, and
we have to go around the mainstream media and speak to the public
directly.

As you know, we are working feverishly to raise $450,000 by
August 27, 2004 to pay for a major ad blitz that is set to begin
at the very end of this month and continue on into September.

We are now completing three additional TV ads that will be a part
of our rotation. You can see our initial radio and television ads
we already produced here:

http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org/?Page=AdCampaign

Thus far we have raised more than $134,000 in contributions.
Remember, we need to reach at least $450,000 total. The good
news is that our online contributions and contributions mailed
in to our office have begun to come in at an increasing rate.

With everyone’s help I believe we will be able to raise the
final $316,000 we need to get these ads broadcast on the TV
airwaves nationwide.

Exactly. Either way it's a "win-win" for them. Either their "constitutionally protected" free speech is being pre-empted or charges of a "brutality driven police state" (as a result of their attempts to incite mob violence) will gain national attention. They are scum. Bring them on. :fire:

I think I can say with 100% certainty that the Republican Convention will bring every lefty moonbat in the country out from under his or her rock. Thus, the chances of a 1999 WTO Seattle style riot are, in my estimation, running at close to 100%.

The FBI would have to be crazy to not at least check some of these groups out.

I don't recall what happened to those responsible for the WTO riots, since I was in Japan at the time, and didn't transfer into the area until mid 2000. Can anyone in THR clue us in?

The NYPD's CCRB Unit (Civilian Complaint Review Board) will have a booth near the convention site so that protestors will be able to file complaints on scene.:what:

The NYPD also cancelled plans to have School Security (unarmed) work the convention. The Teamsters filed a protest so they're not involved. However, they were ordered to work an 8 hour day (their summer hours were 7 hours) as punishment. However, unarmed Police Academy recruits will be working the convention. This is where Mickey Bloomers & his minion Ray (Did you know I was a Marine Colonel, honest) Kelly got their inflated personnel figures along with Traffic Agents (all unarmed) and the like. Oh well, if some protestor gets shot it'll give Kerry another "Turning Point" flashback he can tell us about.:barf:

NYC doesn't need visiting scum of the earth, it's being run by the homegrown kind. :banghead: :cuss:

I loved Bob Dole's comment on the last convention for The Daily Show (before they dumped him and went full lefty):

"The Republican convention was so boring some of the protestors went out and got jobs."

Bob Dole is hysterical.

- Gabe

PS: He had another stand-out line for The Daily Show, commenting on some lefty's assertion that the republicans were cutting education funding resulting in kids not learning how to read, "Why would we do that? It's been our experience that when someone learns to read they vote republican!"

Heheheh :)

Why? Why? Again I ask you why?

Why would the RNC choose NYC in which to have their convention?

Hello?

What is up wi'dat?

I'm a firm believer that there should be a law stating if you are protesting for a dumb reason the police should abe allowed to beat you.

Chicago style

"...if you are protesting for a dumb reason the police should abe allowed to beat you."

Come to Chicago, it's written into the city charter that if you are actually dumb enough to bad mouth a Chicago cop they are entitled to take you back to the cop house and do a tune up on you in the stairwell.

"Chicago, Famous for convention beatings since 1967"

Seems to me that if they're being so lenient on protesters, that some citizens' group should have "protesters" there in the traditional ski-mask look, so that if they see any commies start to cause trouble they'll shut them down.

"Neighborhood Watch" can operate during civil disturbances.

What the mainstream media won't say: These are the Kerry base.

What the mainstream media will imply: Bush caused all this turmoil.

I Am an independant voter and have never in my 27 years of voting been a registered Republican.

Protestors.... I hate protestors. Living in DC, I run into them about once a week and they usually need a bath and a job. They intentionally block traffic for those of us that LIVE here and make everyone late for work. The radio stations sometimes even tell everyone where the ptorestors are just like where the traffic accidents are so that people can reroute. How is it that I see them while I am working and they are just sitting around the Natl. Mall waving a sign or yelling....don't these people need jobs or some form of income?

Also, I didn't hear any of the libs complaining about the "Free Speech" zone at the Dem's convention where they put all of the protestors under the L in a cage... Is that a double standard I smell...

Did I mention that I hate protestors?

FedDC, for once we're surely in agreement. :) I went through all that stuff during the Vietnam era, in Austintatious.

Actually, there's a whole new job category in the U.S. There's a guy over in Marfa, Texas, who lists his occupation as "Political Activist". He's against almost anything that would provide jobs or meet societal needs.

Hey Ransom !!

Who decides if it is a "dumb reason" to protest ? You ? I hope not. This country was founded on freedom to express STUPID ideas. Thank God.

There are no stupid reasons to protest, only stupid people, and they have the right to be stupid...

I don't know...I'v seen some pretty stupid protests, but I am not sure if it was just a stupid group of stupid people protesting a stupid cause....or just that stupid people pick stupid causes.

The funny thing I see about protests, mostly the lefty ones it that they rarely have one central focus like you see on CNN. No matter what the group is officially protesting, there are allways foks there to Legalize Pot (These people need a bath and some clothes not made of hemp), then there are the ones that hate the WTO but can't explain what the WTO really does, then there are the gun control folks that just claim its for the kids, then there are my personal favorites, the Anti Bush protestors that don't seem to have any real agenda other than hating Bush... I like those the best bc they are the easiest to screw with. They get so mad about republicans in general that they are just about unable to speak. It is as if they have the "Rage" disease from that movie 28 Days Later.

ALso, the protest monitors with the yellow hats are a trip. They have thir camcorders to record the police abuse...but now the cops have cameras too, so it is like wour cameraman vs their camera man... strange days.

The best tactics I have seen to deal with the protestors up here is where the PD has their Helo hover directly over the speakers, thereby drowning out any command and control bc they can't even hear each other speak...too funny;)
