I have been thinking about adding a new Heritage Barkeeper (now newly owned by Taurus) , but from the vids I’ve seen the accuracy is not so good. Even average shooters should group better than I’ve seen so far at 10 yards with a single action .22; regardless of the short barrel. So far though I’ve only seen Winchester SuperX and mini-mags shot through them. Maybe it’s very ammo sensitive, but for the price I think it’s more the revolver in general. Advice?

I've got the longer barrel heritage RR with both cylinders, so I can't speak to the barkeep, but I can assure you it was not the most accurate out of the box handgun out there. I have filed down the front sight to get elevation right for the Fed. .22 mag I use in it. After 3 years I still have not added a dab of JB weld to the right side of it and filed that down to the get the windage just right. Maybe this spring. I cannot imagine the difficulty in getting a much shorter barreled Barkeep to be an accurate shooter.

I have two of the HRR revolvers, and like them both a lot. One is the "standard" 4.75" plowhandle version; the other is the 3.5" birdshead model.

I've been tempted by the Barkeep (note the name; you're combining Heritage's gun with Ruger's "Shopkeeper.) I like the looks of the "case-hardened" finished one, but really don't plink enough to justify it just yet. Maybe it will convince me that it would go well in a tackle box or something, but I haven't seen one in person yet.

Held one yesterday at LGS.
Felt good! Love the 22 at Round. Don't think it will be as accurate as my 5 inch, which is ok but not great.

My LGS has both the 2.5 inch barrel model and 3inch barrel model of the Barkeep .. which I didn’t know they made ...
