Hero was shot dead trying to take down gunman targeting CO cops was 'killed by stray police bullet'

Hero civilian was armed and shot at the killer and then shot and killed by police accidently. I wonder if cops thought he was the shooter.

BTW, there was nothing "stray" about the shots fired. He was mistaken as the attacker because he was holder the assailant's AR when LE arrived.
