Hesse Model 47: any GOOD reviews?

I heard that once upon a time, Hesse quality was good. Is that so? In particular, was the model 47 they made EVER any good? early serial numbers vs late? etc?

Hesse quality is grade "A" CRAP IMHO. I have yet to read anything positive about their AK's or any other builds. Stay far away from them and their products.
My shooting buddy bought one of their Galil's. The headspace was so far off it tore brass spent cartridges in half upon extraction. $1000.00 POS.

"Once upon a time" is right. Hesse making quality goods is a fairy tale.

(And it's too bad, too, because they besmirch the good name of Hessians like me everywhere. )
