Today, I checked the pattern on the turkey gun--a Remington 870 Express with 23" barrel and H.S. Strut Hevi-Shot XF choke. Shot some 3" #5 Hevi-Shot at first. Switched to 3" #6 Hevi-Shot and got better results. At 50 yards, it put 20 pellets in the head and neck of a turkey target. At 25, yards, there were just too many pellet holes to count. Good stuff.

I did actually count the 25 yard holes. There were over 100.
