I saw some hi point pistols several years ago at a gun show and said what a cheap piece of *&$%. Well been looking for a .40 cal carbine, 1st choice was the Kel-Tec, but I'll be in a diaper and wheelchair before they get enough of these puppies made. I bought a Hi Point 4095 carbine, put cross bolt handle and sling on it and next day took to range at lunch. I fired 30 rounds of my reloads that had 3 different primers, no hiccups 50 yds. good hit. Today took it out after work put up a IPSC cardboard target at 100 yds. I aimed for the head as I figured it would drop hit 4 out of 10 in the head, misses went high or left-right. I then aimed center mass and was amazed at the hits with the factory sights and my 59 year old eyes. I have shot it 89 times with no failure to feed, extract, fire or any hiccup. I will put 500 rounds thru it before I clean it just to see how it does. I am a satisfied customer. The only thing Kel-Tec has that is better is the hi-cap mags, but to be honest as accurate as this baby is, I wouldn't feel under gunned. All the ammo shot was cast lead bullets that I reloaded. I know they don't recommend it, but that was main reason I wanted a .40 cal carbine. Sorry for long post. Mac
