Will the ATI stock for a 9mm HiPoint carbine fit on the .40 cal. model?
It seems like the .40 Carbine might just make the perfect HD weapon for me but it sure is ugly. Thanks in advance for your help.

Seems like it would be a simple trial-and-error operation. I have a 995, but if I had a .40 I'd give it a whirl. What's the worst that could happen...you ruin a $50 piece of plastic.

No, the ATI stock for the 9mm carbine won't work on the .40 at all. There's too much difference in the sizes of the receivers, I have one of each carbine in my safe right now. And ATI has no plans to make a stock for the .40 that I know of. And the Dremel fitting is required to fit the ATI stock on the 9mm carbine that it's made for.

And I believe they would make a DANDY h/d weapon! Especially with a laser. But my wife would have a cow if I had a loaded long gun next to the bed, out of the safe. My pistol, she doesn't mind, because she doesn't see it and knows it's usually on me anyway except when I'm in bed.

I personally love the ugly bastards, they're great shooters and a lot of fun. The 9 is actually my 12y.o. grandson's, I had to buy him one because he fell in love with my .40. With a cheap BSA red-dot on them, they're a real hoot!

I know people make claims on the internet that they have fit a 4095 into an ATI stock. I have never seen it though. The front receiver holes in the ATI stock need to be drilled/filed out to get it to fit properly on a 995.

Just did this two weeks ago. The 9mm stock requires a dremel and drill press just to get it to fit the 995. Still not sure if it's poor tolerances on Hi Point or ATI's part.

Oh man! I was already dreaming about putting a light and laser on it. A cheap BSA would have been perfect too. Thats just a shame. Maybe I'll get the 995...

I didn't need a dremel or a drill press to install the ATI stock on my 995. A hand held drill made the job take about 3 seconds though. You could probably get it done with a set of needle files though but it would take a lot longer. I have heard people needed a dremel too but I did not, my guess is would depend on your 995.

Hi Point is coming out with a new stock that is way better than the ATI anyways for all the carbines. They actually had it at the SHOT show this year and they say it should be out this spring and it will be available for purchase separately for less than the ATI. Anyways you can mount a scope on a 4095 as they come with a scope rail and you can bolt on a laser to the barrel or even screw rails into the original stock just like with the ATI stock.
