Ok........enough about "this guy and that guy"....let get to the mags..K?

CZ USA is OUT of Hi Caps for the 75's. They have a small stock for replacements/warranty issues as they arrise and thats it...none for sale.

BUT, enough have been on the market they are easily come by.

USA, ProMag and OEM are the most plentiful....

BEWARE of aftermarket mags. You can spot them easily .......MOST will have 2 locking holes for the catch.....OEM CZ Hi Caps have 1 catch hole and the base plate has the trade mark step in it......
Some aftermarket mags have the stepped plate also...but CZ Mags have lateral machining marks in them....easy to spot.

Pro Mags arent a bad mag....some say they work like OEM's and have good luck with them....some dont. Personally Ive got 4 and they wont drop free like the OEM mags do...but they function well otherwise.

CZUSA mags do come in 15 and 16 round capacities....they changed the follower design that allowed it to drop down farther. They are completely legal as they are the preban mags. A factory change to them allowed for 1 more round............welcome to CZ......:neener: :what:

CZ OEM mags are available on Gunsamerica/gunbroker/auction arms etc. For very reasonable prices.....less than 45$ usually.

Just ask them to guarantee they are OEM mags, have 1 catch hole and the step in the base plate is machined in....not bent sheet metal.......................

I WONT CARRY WITH ANYTHING BUT CZ OEM MAGS......with XP Wolff springs and the good followers.....but thats just me........................

Shoot well..........hope this helps.

I've written about the two hole mags before but I'll add a little more to what PCRCCW said.

The followers are different, they usually have plastic floorplates too. What bugs me most about them is that they rattle like all hell when loaded. Factory mags are stone cold silent when full.

Another thing, look at the back of the mag of a two hole and a factory. At the top the 2hole notch is deep and narrow. The factory notch is shallow and wide.

I have had failures with these (2 hole) mags. But not often. I personally wouldn't carry with them. YMMV. I put a follower from a CZ 10 rounder thinking that this would reduce rattle and improve feeding but no luck.

I think I will take PCRCCW's advice and get wolf springs for all my mags factory or not.

These 2holes are often sold as factory mags by those that don't know and those that do. I bought mine from CDNN for <$15. So I guess for the price they beat a poke in they eye with a sharp stick.

I say buy factory especially if you carry.

"and the step in the base plate is machined in....not bent sheet metal"

Both my Pre B and these 16 rounders are stamped stamped, not machined. They are folded over and stamped.
