If you have a ciener arms 1911 conversion kit they now have 15 rd mags for them. (I need to get a couple.)

There is a problem with high capacity .22 magazines and that is the rimmed cartridge. There are some tricks to the trade, like keyhole shaped magazines that allow staggered rims (fairly easy where there is room, as when the magazine starts out .45 width), or curved magazines, like the old High Standard .22 Short magazine, but generally that rim catches up with the designer. Note that most auto pistols for the .38 Special cartridge have low capacity magazines, usually 5 shot, for the same reason.
Even the semi-rimmed .32 ACP and .25 ACP run into problems when going "high cap", as does the tapered 9mm Parabellum. Only with a perfectly straight cartridge, like the .45 ACP or .380 ACP can the magazine be extended almost indefinitely.

I fail to understand why the distinction between clip and magazine is so important to the internet/gunstore/range experts; yet I hear so many of them declaring they are loading their gun with "bullets."
I fail to understand why any such semantic variation is so important, yet there are untold internet posts and gunzine Dear Abby letters that confuse barrel bore and groove measurements. Which can be functionally important.
On Topic: An old article about W.H.B. Smith, the '40s - '50s author, showed a high capacity .22 pistol he had designed. As I recall, the full size plinking model held a full box of ammo; a pocket model about 20. Wonder if it really worked.

Garand clips and stripper clips are clips. Everything else is a magazine.

Double-stack a rimmed cartridge - I don't think so!!
You can't double-stack a rimmed cartrige because of rim lock. The opposing rims would likely catch one behind the other impeding the ability to strip the rounds from the mag.

Even the manufacturers and retailers call detachable magazines "clips." If anything the term "Stripper Clip" is slang, the more technical term for them is "Magazine Charger."
The whole argument kind of strikes me as similar to not acknowledging revolvers as pistols.
